🍻 Tappy Hour — Privacy Policy

Tappy Hour is a private group app for planning happy hours with friends. It is operated by Junior Varsity Enterprises, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.

Information we collect

• Account info: your email address and the display name you choose, used to sign you in and show friends who you are.
• Content you create: groups, happy-hour events, RSVPs, guest (+1) names, and "what I'm bringing" items you add.
• Notification token: if you allow notifications, a device push token so we can send you alerts about your groups.

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or analytics/tracking data, and we do not use third-party advertising.

How we use it

• To operate the app — show your groups and events, RSVPs, and bring-lists.
• To send notifications you opt into (a new happy hour, RSVPs to your event, day-of reminders). You can turn these off in Settings.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. Your content is visible only to members of the groups you join. We use a small number of service providers strictly to run the app:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and hosting.
• Apple Push Notification service — to deliver notifications to your device.
• Resend — to send transactional emails (e.g., a password-reset link), when applicable.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at [email protected], and we will remove it.

Security

Data is protected with row-level security so that only members of a group can read that group's content, and it is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Children

Tappy Hour is intended for adults (it involves planning social events that may include alcohol) and is not directed to children.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will revise the date above.
